COVID REGS UPDATE
COVID Regulations – As At 11th January 2022
In line with guidance from Basketball Qld and the Qld Health Department, there are several COVID Safe measures in place.
Individuals MUST NOT attend Bundaberg Basketball if they:
➡️ Are feeling unwell and suffering from cold or flu-like symptoms
➡️ Have tested positive for COVID-19 or are a close contact to a known COVID-19 case within the last 7 days
➡️ Are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 Test
Vaccination Status
The Queensland Government has now outlined their Sport, Recreation and Fitness Activities Matrix, in their recent update to sporting organisations, that provides an overview of restrictions linked with vaccination status. This means:
· Both vaccinated and unvaccinated people can participate in games
· Both vaccinated and unvaccinated people are permitted entry, however occupant density limits of one person per two square metres will apply.
· Unvaccinated persons will not be permitted to clubhouse or function rooms with food and beverage services, cafes, pubs clubs and bars (licensed areas).
· Both vaccinated and unvaccinated people are able to visit a canteen for takeaway
Wearing Masks
Spectators, Coaches, Scoretable persons will need to wear a mask at all times inside the stadium (court 1) and outside where it is not possible to maintain 1.5 metres social distancing. Entry to Bundaberg Basketball will be denied if masks are not worn upon entry.
Players and referees do not need to wear a mask while on the court playing/refereeing.
Players and referees must wear a mask at all other times inside the stadium (court 1) and outside where it is not possible to maintain 1.5 metres social distancing.
Coaches will need to wear a mask at all times inside the stadium (court 1) and outside where it is not possible to maintain 1.5 metres social distancing. Coaches may remove their mask to communicate clearly with players, however, they will need to wear a mask at all other times.
Canteen and Bar Areas
Only fully vaccinated persons are allowed to enter these areas. However, due to the fact that these areas are within a playing arena and not a stand-alone facility, it may be the case that we are unable to operate these facilities at all. Further clarification is being sort.
Thank you for your help.
