Bundy Basketball Flashback

Pictured below is one of Bundaberg players players Bill Magee at the 1970 under 18 Australian championships in Perth. Bill and his Bundaberg teammate Peter Spargo were Bundy’s first of many junior state representatives at Australian championships.

Also pictured is Terry Doherty who at the time was also at that Australian championship as Queensland’s referee, the first of several Australian championship refereeing appointments. Terry refereed Australian championships for more than a decade and was involved in refereeing and referee education for more than 50 years. Throughout the 1980s he was Queensland Basketball state rules interpreter.

We are so lucky to have Terry as a part of Bundaberg Basketball to call on for advise or input at any time. We always value the advice and expertise Terry offers around anything basketball.
